Atlanta- On Monday, far-left activists once again attempted to stage mass protests at the Georgia State Capitol, as part of their so-called “Not My President’s Day” demonstrations. Organized by the 50501 Movement, the event was marketed as a nationwide stand against President Trump’s policies.
But once again in Georgia, it failed. Miserably.
Why? Maybe because vast majority of Georgian’s don’t share the activists’ outrage. In fact, they support the very policies these protesters oppose.
A Protest Against Policies That Americans Actually Want
The 50501 Movement, short for “50 protests. 50 states. 1 movement,” was born on Reddit and amplified by progressive activists online. Their goal? To oppose President Trump and his administration. But in reality, their protest was nothing more than an attack on policies that most Americans support and voted for, including:
- Government Transparency & Accountability – Americans want their tax dollars spent wisely, which is why they support efforts to reduce wasteful spending and bloated bureaucracy. Activists attacked the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and Elon Musk’s involvement, but the truth is, the agency is doing exactly what taxpayers want: streamlining operations and cutting red tape.
- Law & Order – The protests included calls to weaken law enforcement efforts and dismantle immigration policies that keep communities safe. But Americans have seen the consequences of soft-on-crime policies, and they’re rejecting them in favor of common-sense enforcement.
- Merit Over Identity Politics – The left’s obsession with DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) is losing public support. Businesses and government agencies alike are shifting away from race-based hiring and promotion quotas because Americans prefer competence and qualifications over political correctness.
Simply put: These protests aren’t gaining traction because the policies they oppose are working—and the public knows it.
A Manufactured Movement That Can’t Mobilize
Despite grand claims of organizing events in all 50 states, the turnout was embarrassingly low. Reports and photos from multiple locations showed weak attendance, with some events barely attracting a couple of dozen people. In many cases, there were more journalists than protesters.

Even on social media, where the movement claims over 102,000 Reddit followers and an alleged 600,000 Discord members, engagement was lackluster. The group’s failure to translate online activism into real-world action proves that their outrage is manufactured and out of touch with everyday Americans.
Who’s Really Behind This?
As expected, the 50501 Movement has received backing from far-left organizations like Political Revolution, a group born out of Bernie Sanders’ 2016 campaign that has since aligned itself with radical activism, including Black Lives Matter and socialist economic policies.
These groups claim to fight for “democracy,” but their actions reveal a different agenda: they oppose any effort to restore order, efficiency, and accountability in government.
The American People Have Spoken
The failure of the “Not My President’s Day” protests highlights what many already know: the American people support President Trump’s policies that put them first. While radical activists continue pushing for bigger government, more identity politics, and weaker law enforcement, everyday Americans are making their preferences clear.
- They support government efficiency, transparency, and fiscal responsibility.
- They want laws enforced and communities protected.
- They reject DEI mandates and identity politics in government and business.
This Presidents’ Day, while millions of Americans celebrated the leaders who built and preserved this nation, a handful of activists tried—and failed—to stir up opposition to policies that make America stronger.
