Beach will join former Congressman Doug Collins, now serving as Secretary of Veterans Affairs, and former U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler, the current Administrator of the Small Business Administration. Additionally, Governor Brian Kemp has been appointed to a bipartisan group focused on strengthening state-federal cooperation on national security and disaster response.

His appointment also means his seat in the Georgia State Senate—covering a district that neighbors Cobb County—will now be open, setting up an important GOP primary battle in this conservative-leaning area.
Senate officials confirmed the appointment at a committee hearing on Friday. As treasurer, Beach will oversee the U.S. Mint, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and the nation’s gold reserves at Fort Knox. He will also serve as a trusted adviser to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and, unlike many federal appointees, will not require Senate confirmation.
A well-known fighter for conservative values, Beach has served in the Georgia Senate since 2013, standing firm on the right side of history in some of the state’s most critical debates. He was instrumental in expanding Second Amendment rights by supporting campus carry legislation, led the fight to protect life by advocating for strong pro-life measures, and backed religious liberty protections that safeguard people of faith from government overreach.
Following the 2020 election, Beach stood strong with President Trump and a handful of true conservatives in calling for a special session to review Georgia’s election integrity. While the political establishment sought to silence him, Beach remained undeterred, proving his commitment to ensuring free and fair elections. Though he was briefly stripped of his Senate leadership role by then-Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan—a Republican who sided with the left—Beach returned to power after true conservatives regained control of state leadership.
A fighter for Georgia’s future, Beach also supported former U.S. Sen. David Perdue’s challenge to Gov. Brian Kemp in 2022, demonstrating his dedication to electing leaders who put Georgia first.
