The former U.S. Senator, Kelly Loeffler has been involved in Georgia Republican politics and supported local candidates, including those in Cobb County. Additionally, her organization, Greater Georgia, has been active in voter outreach and conservative advocacy efforts across the state, including in Cobb, is now taking her leadership skills back to Washington D.C. to implement a conservative Trump led agenda.

Newly appointed Small Business Administration (SBA) Director Kelly Loeffler, a former U.S. Senator, is taking a firm stand in upholding President Trump’s commitment to enforcing federal law and holding local governments accountable. Just weeks after her confirmation, Loeffler has sent a strong message to city leaders who defy federal immigration laws by insisting on so-called sanctuary city policies.

Loeffler announced that the SBA will relocate six of its regional offices out of cities that have chosen to prioritize illegal immigrants over law-abiding American citizens. These offices—currently located in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, New York City, and Seattle—will be moved to fiscally responsible, law-abiding communities that respect federal immigration policies and better serve small business owners.

“This is about ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and that federal offices are in communities that uphold the law,” Loeffler stated. “We refuse to reward cities that flout federal immigration enforcement while expecting federal funding and support.”

Her decisive action comes on the heels of a tense congressional hearing in which four Democratic mayors—Andre Dickens of Atlanta, Michelle Wu of Boston, Brandon Johnson of Chicago, and Mike Johnston of Denver—were grilled over their refusal to cooperate with federal immigration authorities. Republican lawmakers rightfully accused them of endangering public safety and undermining the rule of law.

In a further effort to prioritize American citizens, Loeffler announced that SBA loans will be restricted to businesses owned entirely by U.S. citizens. While the SBA does not directly issue most loans—except in disaster situations—it partners with lenders to provide favorable loan terms to small businesses, making access to capital more affordable.

By removing federal offices from sanctuary cities and ensuring taxpayer dollars benefit American citizens first, Loeffler is demonstrating that the federal government will no longer tolerate local defiance of immigration law. Small businesses thrive in communities that respect law and order, and this move ensures that federal resources go where they are most valued.

Kelly Loeffler has long been a staunch ally of President Donald Trump, consistently championing his America First policies. During her tenure as a U.S. Senator from Georgia, Loeffler maintained a “100 percent Trump voting record” and fought for conservative principles in Washington.

Following the November 2020 election, Loeffler stood firm in support of election integrity, backing legal challenges to the results and initially pledging to object to the certification of the Electoral College. Though she later withdrew her objection following the events of January 6, 2021, her loyalty to President Trump’s vision for America has never wavered.

That loyalty was recognized in December 2024 when President Trump nominated Loeffler to lead the Small Business Administration. Her swift and decisive action to relocate SBA offices proves she is the right person for the job, ensuring that federal support goes to communities that uphold law and order, not those that coddle illegal immigrants at the expense of American taxpayers.
